Focus.  Try to Focus.  One life lesson God is teaching me in 2010 is how to focus on Him instead of circumstances.  Isn't it easy to get obsessed with the "things" in our lives?  Before we know it, we have abandoned all rational, God focused thinking and we are completely de-railed spiritually, emotionally, and physically.  I only speak from experience...TRUST ME!  I have been a Christian a long time and still struggle daily with keeping my eyes on God.  It's easy to watch bills pile up and wonder where in the world the provision will come from or to watch our health decline and wonder just how this will be okay for us.  I am a rationalizer.  A realist.  A talker.  An analyzer.  Sometimes these traits are beneficial to me, but more often than not they cause me to doubt the provision of the Lord.  Some areas that I struggle to trust God with are my finances and my health.  The irony is God has never left me to deal with these things on my own.  He has provided.  I've watched bills pile up and then watched God provide for those things.  I have been sick and healed; sometimes through medicine and sometimes through pure miracle.  Here are some scriptures that help me stay focused on the Lord.

"I walk in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice, to endow those who love me with wealth, that I may fill their treasuries."  Proverbs 8:20-21

"A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, and the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous."  Proverbs 13:22

"I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze, and cut through their iron bars.  And I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden wealth of secret places, in order that you may know that it is I the Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by name."  Isaiah 45:3

"Honor the Lord from your wealth, and from the first of all your produce; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine."  Proverbs 3:9-10

"In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.  Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.  It will be healing to your body.  And refreshment to your bones." Proverbs 3:6-8

"Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers."  3 John 2

"For I will restore you to health and I will heal you of your wounds, declares the Lord..." Jeremiah 30:17

"But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed."  Isaiah 53:5

"But the multitudes were aware of this and followed Him; and welcoming them, He began speaking to them about the kingdom of God and curing those who had need of healing."  Luke 9:11
