Penne Senza Glutine
Gluten free pasta tossed with shrimp, green
beans, pine nuts, olive oil and garlic
So, naturally this is what I ordered. Unfortunately, the waiter returned to say they had just run out of their gluten free pasta. I asked him if he would mind asking the Chef what he would recommend for someone allergic to wheat and the verdict was "anything from our grill."
Skeptical I was, but that didn't last long as this is what I ate:
Pollo al Mattone
Split Chicken topped with roasted peppers
and lemon sauce (spinach and roasted potatoes as sides)
Now, that was wonderful! I will surely try to duplicate this recipe at home. And if I might add, the dish did not make me sick in the least. Thank you Mingalone's!
